Method 1: Forward WhatsApp Chats to Your Email Address
Saving the WhatsApp messages in a document format and then downloading them as a file on the new phone is what many smartphone users find easy and effective. Here is the step by step process to copy chats from Android to iPhone XS/iPhone XS Max/iPhone XR through email:
Step 1: Go to the Settings options of your WhatsApp application
Step 2: You should see a drop down list, and one of the options there is ‘Email Chat’. Select that one.
Step 3: In the Chat Settings Menu, choose Email Chat
Step 4: Choose the chat history you want to attach
Step 5: You will be asked whether you want to attach the history with or without the media. The media attachments can produce a heavier file to attach
Step 6: A compose message window will open up with a blank space for the email address

Step 8: On your new Apple iPhone XS/XS Max/XR login to the same email address

Precautions:
This method will only provide you with the history in the format of a document. This means that the older messages will not sync with the WhatsApp application in the new your new iPhone. Step 1: Download the app on your computer

Important Note:
Remember that the WhatsApp application on Android has its inbuilt backup option too. If you have chosen to back up your messages, your chats have been already back up to your device. The frequency of the backup can be chosen. If you had the frequency set at the ‘Never’ option, then your messages are not being backed up. In this case, you need to manually backup your chats by going to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Back Up Now.
